Kim D. Hougland
Kim has over 11 years experience at Cessna Aircraft. He started in the experimental department during the CJ2 research and development program in Wichita, Kansas. He later transferred to the Citation Service Center where he performed maintenance and inspections on all models of Citations. He has attended factory training in all models from the CJ to the Citation X. In this capacity, Kim performed a diverse range of tasks such as all Phase and Doc inspections; heavy and light sheet metal repairs and modifications; basic engine to hot sections: troubleshooting aircraft systems for anti-ice, hydraulic, environmental, engine flight controls, pitot static and avionics. His duties also included working with the Cessna Engineering department performing problem resolution, for example, trouble shooting airframe and powerplant systems along with modifications and creation of service bulletins.
In September 2007, after working his way up to lead technician, Kim was promoted to Shift Supervisor and transferred to the Long Beach, California Cessna Citation Service Center. He was tasked with the
planning and execution of moving the Long Beach plant to its new Citation Service Center in Mesa, Arizona.
Kim is a devoted family man with roots deep in California soil. We hope you will join us in welcoming him to the Santa Barbara area.
